This real photo portrait postcard is of a group of French students from the town of Parisot, France. Parisot is located about 30 minutes southwest of Albi (where Toulouse-Lautrec was born). The town's name and district, Parisot, Tarn, are written in the plaque atop the boy's feet front and center. I started to alter it to make it more visible but actually, it lends itself to customization and you can put any town's name in there or add a message instead. I love these kinds of group portraits. This one reminds me of the Seven Dwarfs. Each face is unique but especially on the front row, I see Smiley, Squinty, Snarly, Serious, Grumpy, Contemptable, and Worry Wart.
On the back of my postcard, it is dated 1936-37. Very retro indeed!
