In the second photo you will see a scan of my original postcard. For a long time, I called it "Cherry Delight" and then one day, I realized those weren't cherries in the plate:) So I decided to put some in there! Borrowing from another antique postcard I have, I did enhance and alter this image. About 3 hours, umpteem layers and beaucoup cherries later, voila: Cherry Delight!
The French text at the bottom says, "You really want me to eat them all!" My original postcard is not dated, but it was mailed to Mademoiselle Suzanne Sabin at 316 Rue St. Jacques in Paris. I'm guessing early 1900s, pre-WWI.
Now, if you prefer chocolate bonbons to cherries, check out my enhanced version of the original card here: http://www.frenchkissedpostcards.com/chocolate-bonbons-victorian-child-rare-antique-french-postcard-instant-digital-download
