This set of 6 Art Deco French postcards are unified by shades of green, mostly with yellow undertones like chartreuse. Instant family, instant wall art grouping, instant postcard collection. This half dozen postcards are an outstanding lot that capture the feel and style of the 1920s. Each one is a real photo that has been color tinted by hand. I like them all but the soldier's sweetheart in the dress with the diamond panels has to be my favorite. Each card is about 3.5 by 5.5 inches. Overall, these cards are in fine vintage condition. One is hand-dated 1922. The card of the woman with the long, tied string of pearls has a crease at the upper right quadrant. But again, overall, for their age, these cards are historical gems.
I often suggest that when examining scans online, you should push your chair about 3 feet away from the computer. Direct scans are often brutal, reflecting every speck of dust -- dust that might be on the scanner, not even on the card itself. So step back a foot or two and you'll get a better idea of what the cards will look like in hand with the naked eye.
