This digital scan is created from a M.M. Vienne postcard. During the golden age of postcards at the turn of the century, a publisher in Vienna, Austria, wanted to offer quality artistic cards, not just cheesy photography studio pics or town views. In essence, a Vienne card was like today's top Hallmark design and top artists flocked to work for Max Munk and his company. Indeed, this illustration of the blonde haired beauty lost in thought is gorgeous. I love that silky fingerless glove! My original card was mailed in 1903 to Mademoiselle Mimi. This thinking beauty pairs well with the Marquess in Blue. I like to think it is the same woman and now we get a good look at her charming face: http://www.frenchkissedpostcards.com/marquess-in-blue-marie-antoinette-17th-century-style-customized-antique-vienne-postcard-digital-scan
